Roxbourg Business School

Roxbourg Business School is an independent Swiss think tank building the future of business education. The Roxbourg xMBA (and xDBA) Fellowship is the professional qualification for builders who can invite up to four core team members to co-build their enterprise and earn credentials together.

The Origin Story

Roxbourg Business School's origin story began with GoodFestival (GFX) and the Roxbourg Institute of Social Entrepreneurship (RISE). Since 2016, GFX has showcased groundbreaking social innovations, while RISE has accelerated social ventures since 2021 - enabling candidates to earn Professional MBA and Professional DBA qualifications.

Together, GFX and RISE have built a repository of insights from 15 years of research on why ventures succeed. Building on this foundation, Roxbourg Business School develops forward-thinking case studies and empowers individuals and organizations to design new products, build new ventures, and enter new markets.

Case Study Method

The foundations of modern management theory were built between the mid-1800s and mid-1900s - a period of rapid Western industrialization. Early frameworks prioritized local industrial needs while overlooking the trade networks, alternative economic systems, and commercial traditions that thrived across Asia, Africa, and South America for over 3,000 years.

Today, roughly 80% of business case studies still focus on the US, Europe, and ANZ, while ~85% feature protagonists from a single cultural background - ignoring high-impact solutions emerging across the rest of the world. A curriculum shaped by 10% of the global population served its time, but it cannot prepare leaders for tomorrow.

That is why we created Roxbourg Business School - a future-focused think tank designed to reimagine the centerpiece of business education: the case study.

Join the Dialogue

We are building a truly global curriculum that celebrates multicultural economic history, diverse organizational values, and equitable business models.

Today, we are opening admissions for the Roxbourg xMBA (and xDBA) Fellowship founding cohort and inviting global leaders to help shape this movement. Seminars for the Roxbourg initiative launch on April 8th, 2027, in the Lausanne Region (Vaud, Switzerland) and online.
